What We Do at Nebraska Housing Resource, Inc.
Nebraska Housing Resource, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to quality, affordable, and workforce housing across Nebraska. We manage and deploy public funds through grant awards from state and federal sources to support local housing development, homeownership opportunities, and community revitalization efforts.
Through partnerships with homebuilders, local governments, and community organizations, we:

Lend to Builders: We provide flexible financing to builders and developers for the construction of new homes that serve moderate-income households. Using funds from the Nebraska Middle Income Workforce Housing Fund (MWHF), we help overcome development barriers in both urban and rural communities, ensuring that essential workers can live where they work.

Support Homebuyers: We offer down payment assistance to first-time and moderate-income homebuyers helping to bridge affordability gaps and promote sustainable homeownership. These funds are available through programs like the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF).

Fund Site Preparation & Infrastructure: We utilize grants such as the Qualified Census Tract (QCT) Affordable Housing program and ARPA-supported awards to prepare land and infrastructure in targeted areas, unlocking development potential in communities that need it most.
